About us
QR Code Station is a free QR code generator built to be fast, private and good-looking. No sign-up, no watermark and no expiring links.
Why we built it
We looked at the QR code tools already out there and kept running into the same problems:
- They only offer very simple, basic QR code generation with little to customize.
- No option to import your own logo.
- No proper color options.
- High-quality downloads and the SVG format are restricted or locked.
- A very poor, hard-to-use design that is not user friendly.
- QR codes that expire.
- Some need you to sign up or log in before you can even use them.
- Some need a login just to download your own code.
- Spammy pages filled with ads.
- Not feature-rich: you get the bare minimum and nothing more.
Why QR Code Station is the best QR code generator
QR Code Station is built to fix all of that. Here is what you get, point by point:
- 16 kinds of QR codes in one place. Links, plain text, email, phone, SMS, WhatsApp, Wi‑Fi, contact cards, locations, calendar events, crypto payments, review links, feedback forms, app downloads, coupons and payments, each with its own simple form.
- Live preview while you edit. Every change appears instantly on the code. The work is split into five easy tabs: Content, Design, Logo, Colors and Encoding.
- Best-in-class UI/UX, built for every device. Every control is designed to be understood at a glance and reached easily, with a mouse or with a thumb. Large, clear buttons, one-tap options and sliders with live values keep things quick. On phones the settings, your code and the help boxes follow a natural order, and a floating button in the corner jumps between your settings and your code in one tap, so you never have to scroll up and down again and again. Long lists such as shapes and frames fold into a single row with a small expand and minimize button, and you can minimize the whole settings card to keep your code in view.
- One page, not a chain of pages. Many tools turn every step into a new page. Here the tabs live on the same screen: click them, use the arrow keys, or on a phone simply swipe left and right and the panel follows your finger. Go forward and back as often as you like without losing anything. Want to try a URL code and then create a Wi‑Fi code? Tap another type at the top and the generator switches in place, so there is no going back to a previous page.
- Real design control. Pick from many shapes for the dots, the corner frames and the corner dots, start from dozens of ready-made presets, shuffle for ideas, or change only the shapes and keep your colors. Add a decorative frame with your own text, such as “Scan me!”.
- Colors and gradients. Choose any code and background color, blend two colors with a linear or radial gradient, make the background transparent, color the corner markers separately and use the built-in color swatches and shades. A warning tells you when the contrast is too low to scan well.
- Your own logo, done properly. Upload images (drag and drop works), crop them to a square, or search thousands of brand icons right in the page. Choose the logo shape from plain to rounded, circle, hexagon, pentagon or octagon, add a background or outline, change the size and recolor icons and SVG logos.
- Scan-safe by design. Choose the error correction level yourself, set the version range and mask pattern, and see the version, size and capacity of your code. You can also read the encoded text and the SVG source. If a logo is large, you get a warning instead of surprise changes.
- High-quality downloads, free. Download PNG, SVG, JPG or WebP at sizes up to 4096 px, adjust the margin and corner rounding, copy the image or SVG to your clipboard, or print a ready-to-use A4 sheet that can be saved as PDF.
- Favorites and saved settings. Save the codes you like to your Favorites, reopen them in the editor later and download them again. Your last settings are remembered too. All of this stays in your browser, and you can delete it at any time.
- 12 languages. Use the generator, the help and every page in English, Spanish, Japanese, French, German, Portuguese, Korean, Italian, Indonesian, Russian, Thai or Arabic, with a full right-to-left layout for Arabic.
- Light and dark themes. Switch with one tap from the header and your choice is remembered. Colors stay comfortable to read in both, and the theme never changes the colors of your QR code.
- Guidance built in. Every tab has a “What each setting does” box that explains each option in plain words, so you can learn as you go without reading a manual. On phones it opens as a dropdown below your code.
- Free, private and permanent. No sign-up, no login, no watermark and no ads. Codes are generated in your browser, and static codes never expire or depend on our website.
What to know before you start
- No dynamic codes, so you can’t change a code’s destination after printing. A free workaround: point the code to a page on your own website, and change where that page leads whenever you need.
- No built-in scan statistics. You can measure scans with UTM tags on your link and your own web analytics.
- No file hosting. To link a PDF or menu, it needs to be online somewhere first.
- No saved history. Download your code before you leave the page. Your last settings are remembered in your browser, but past codes are not stored.
Private by design
Your QR code is generated in your browser. The content you enter, your logo and the finished code are not uploaded to our servers. Read more in our privacy policy.
Static codes that never expire
The codes you make are static: the information is stored inside the pattern. They work offline, do not depend on our website, and have no scan limits.
