Privacy policy

Short version: QR Code Station generates QR codes in your browser. We do not ask for an account and we do not receive the content you put into your codes.

What we collect

How we use information

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Your content, settings and favorites stay on your device and are not shared by us. Limited technical data may be handled by service providers that help us host and operate the site (such as hosting, fonts and analytics), only as needed, and information may be disclosed if required by law. When your browser loads a third-party service, for example Google Fonts, it connects to that provider, which can see your IP address; those services are governed by their own privacy policies.

Data retention

Your content, settings, uploaded logos and favorites stay on your device until you delete them. Local storage has no expiry date, and private or incognito windows delete it when you close them. Contact messages and server logs are kept only as long as needed for support, security and operations. Analytics information is kept by the analytics provider for a limited period under its retention settings.

Your choices

Cookies and local storage

QR Code Station uses local storage for the saved settings described below. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not sell personal profiles. Analytics tools that measure overall traffic may set their own cookies; you can block or clear them in your browser at any time.

Data stored in your browser (local storage)

To remember your work between visits, QR Code Station saves some information in your browser’s local storage. It stays on your device: it is not sent to our servers, not shared with anyone and not used for tracking. This is what is saved:

Your content and design are stored under one key, qrcodestation-state-v1. Local storage has no expiry date, so this data stays until you delete it. Private or incognito windows delete it automatically when you close them. Favorites you save are stored the same way, under qrcodestation-favs-v1.

How to delete your saved data

Choose any option. Menu names can differ slightly between browser versions.

Your QR codes

Static QR codes contain your information in the image itself. Anyone who scans a code can read what it contains, so do not put secrets in a code you share publicly, for example a Wi‑Fi password on a code placed where everyone can see it.

Children

QR Code Station is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do.
